Head of School, Building and Civil Construction Management - Vocational (Education & Training) Government (Government & Defence) Lead a centre of excellence for engineering and trades education. Our General Manager seeks an experienced leader to join MIT as Head of Building and Civil Construction, Electrical and General Engineering in this challenging role you will be based at our centre of excellence, TechPark Campus, Manukau. Are you a dynamic leader with passion and outstanding communication skills with demonstrated ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships? Do you pride yourself on your innovation, strategic thinking and commitment to high quality teaching and academic standards? If you are answering yes, you will relish this opportunity working with our Trades School's academic teams who teach MIT's Carpentry apprentices and Construction Supervision Ideally you come from a Trades background but more importantly you are passionate about providing leadership to ensure kaimahi (staff) and tauira (students) are successful. Your business acumen and connections with key stakeholders in the industry will be utilised to promote the growth and development of Programmes. To be successful in this varied stimulating role a relevant qualification in industry and experience monitoring budgets utilising your knowledge of tertiary funding is sought. This is a people centric role where you will be constantly using your leadership skills and emotional intelligence to coach team leaders to improve and build performance. Collaboration is your key to success, you will have to be hands on doing the mahi, enabling and influencing your direct reports with your positive attitude.
