Responsibilities: Lead and empower: Guide and delegate tasks to hotel sales teams, fostering their skills and driving high performance. Set clear expectations and provide coaching to help them reach their full potential. Drive business growth: Source new leads and convert them into profitable sales opportunities for the nominated hotels. Focus on exceeding market performance and expanding the client's market share. Strategic planning: Collaborate with hotel leadership to develop strategic sales plans that align with overall business objectives. Financial management: Assist in crafting annual business plans and financial budgets for the assigned hotels. Revenue generation: Work closely with marketing, sales, loyalty, and digital teams to identify new revenue streams across all segments, exploring opportunities like outlet activations and package deals. Performance tracking: Prepare monthly sales reports that consolidate activity data, market insights, and adjustments to the sales plan. Quarterly review: Play an active role in developing and presenting a comprehensive quarterly sales review. Account management: Build and manage a portfolio of clients across various hotels and regions. CRM utilization: Ensure all sales activity is meticulously recorded in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Lead nurturing: Investigate and follow up on promising leads, implementing effective tracking systems to maximize conversion rates and revive inactive accounts. Performance monitoring: Track sales performance against targets for assigned Wellington hotels, analyzing trends and proposing revisions to optimize results. Innovation & Partnerships: Identify business seasonality and propose innovative ideas to enhance hotel revenue and profitability. Explore opportunities for joint ventures with local industry partners, generating new sales streams. Market knowledge: Stay abreast of key drivers for change across all hotel segments and share this information with hotel management and sales teams to inform future decisions and strategies. Technology awareness: Understand and communicate the evolving impact of technology and distribution channels on the sales cycle, ensuring its consideration in future strategies. Industry engagement: Participate in relevant industry organizations to build relationships, secure business opportunities, and gain valuable market intelligence. Teamwork & Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and supportive environment within your team. Actively share your knowledge and expertise with colleagues across all hotels and the national sales team. Resource allocation: Review and allocate resources effectively based on business needs. Negotiation support: Assist your team in planning and preparing for major negotiations. Data-driven decision making: Seek input from key stakeholders before making crucial decisions and ensure all major decisions are backed by a strong business case. Continuous learning: Actively participate in training programs and meetings to stay ahead of industry trends and expand your knowledge base.
