Job Description - Maintenance Fitter - with Growth Opportunities

We value our team highly and you would become part of the family from the outset. We currently have two Maintenace Fitter positions available. In this role you will be assisting all factory teams to ensure the availability and reliability of all mechanical plant on site, to achieve the required level of performance as specified in the Business Plan.Key Responsibilities·         Planning and executing maintenance tasks (scheduled and emergent) relevant to mechanical equipment on site.·         Implementation and development of routine maintenance checks and associated standard maintenance procedures.·         Ensuring mechanical spare parts availability for scheduled and projected jobs inclusive of spare inventory, checking and managing mechanical spares, managing the equipment refurbishment process for mechanical parts.·         Planning, and executing mechanical components of plant shutdowns.·         Assisting with the development, and application of safe and practical machinery isolation practices.·         Complying with safe working practices as per job safety environmental assessments (JSEA's), and safety operating procedures. Key Attributes·         Proven maintenance fitter experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment·         3 years of relevant work experience are required·         Qualified Mechanical Technician - Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent·         Competent in both written and verbal English·         Familiar with problem solving and risk identification tools.·         Flexible, reliable and customer focused.  Communicates effectively with the wider team and operates in a respectful and supportive manner. ·         Proactive: Recognises where issues may arise and takes steps to mitigate risks. When problems do occur, takes action in a timely fashion.You will be working in our Pokeno factory. You will be working between 45 to 60 hours per week. This position provides a competitive remuneration in the range of $34.70 per hour to $46.94 per hour. Health insurance is also provided after 6 months of continuous service. All candidates will be expected to pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug screen test along with satisfactorily passing a medical and criminal history check.
