Full job description Manage Sales of event spaces across two adjacent venues, Takina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre and Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. These iconic venues offer flexible conference and meeting spaces, latest technology, local cuisine and welcoming service for events from 20 to 2500 people. We have a rare and exceptional opportunity for a Manager Venue Sales to lead our dynamic team and shape decisions for short and long-term success. The role involves: Lead, manage, inspire and plan the work of the Venue Sales team Manage client retention and development to sustain future growth and customer loyalty Ensure a strong industry presence through engagement and collaboration Implement and execute account management cycles and reporting to deliver to predetermined revenue budget Uncover booking trends, market performance and strategically target the right business Promote and secure bookings and sales for Takina Events and manage the delivery of Sales through others Oversee promotion and sales of Takina Events Ensure venues sales processes and procedures are followed and planned targets are achieved Key skills and attributes for this role include: 5+ experience in a sales role within hospitality, corporate or a similar environment 5+ years managing and leading a medium sized team Proven sales track record in building key business relationships and delivering sustainable revenue Collects and uses data to drive continuous improvement Delivers work with a strong customer centric approach Excellent networker and connector Proven ability to price, plan, sell and develop functions Ability to engage marketing across a range of platforms Further information can be found in the Manager Venue Sales Position Description.
