Marketing Communications (Marketing & Communications)

The Nevada Company, a renowned distributor of premium lifestyle brands such as Merrell, Sperry, Chaco, Patagonia, Wolverine, Denham and more, boasting 8 retail stores across New Zealand and a presence in over 250 wholesale doors, is proud to be a Canterbury based, family-owned business with a 40-year legacy. 

With a number of exciting new opportunities on the horizon and the recent acquisition of Sweaty Betty distribution for New Zealand, they are on now the hunt for two Marketing Superstars to drive their continued multi-brand growth.

The Roles - 

A generalist marketing coordination role, with responsibility for:

• Designing and executing email marketing campaigns (previous Klaviyo experience preferred)
• Managing and growing multiple brands on social media platforms
• Developing and implementing public relations strategies to enhance our portfolio of brands
• Planning and managing events that align with our marketing and sales objectives (e.g. Merrell is the major sponsor for Race Tekapo and we have plenty more sponsorship opportunities available)
• Developing Partnerships, Collabs and Influencer work
• Coordinating with brand ambassadors to promote the company’s values and products
• Overseeing customer loyalty programs to enhance engagement and retention
• Monitoring and report all of the above performance (ROI and budgets) 

With a strong focus on Ecommerce and Digital Marketing, this role would be responsible for:

• Developing and managing advertising campaigns on Meta and Google Ads
• Implementing and optimising SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings
• Monitoring and reporting on digital performance metrics using Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
• Managing and analysing e-commerce operations on Shopify (previous Shopify Plus experience would be ideal)
• Overseeing the collection, analysis, and interpretation of digital marketing data
• Product, sales, inventory performance analysis
• Management of CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) strategies
• Budget management of the above

Working from their purpose-built Head Office and Distribution Centre in Rolleston's I-zone, you will be surrounded by an energetic and friendly team who are passionate about inspiring and enriching lifestyles across New Zealand. These will be busy roles, but you will be well supported by two experienced team members, the Head of Sales & Marketing, Brand Director, agencies and freelancers as required. 

Our Ideal Candidates - 

If you can demonstrate at least 2 years' experience delivering the responsibilities outlined above, ideally within a similar fashion/distribution company, and you have a passion for the outdoors and premium brands, we would love to hear from you.
