About the role: This is an apprenticeship opportunity that ticks all the boxes. We are looking for someone exceptional who is motivated to work hard to become a highly skilled Tradesperson. You will receive on-the-job training to give you the skills you need for your trade qualification. This will include working alongside our existing engineering team, to assist with: • design and manufacture and installation of machinery - such as conveyor systems, packaging and weighing equipment, palletisers, and specialised food manufacturing machinery. • fabrication, machining, and welding of components. • build and installation of machinery - either within the workshop or within the factory. • set up of tools and equipment. • factory and plant maintenance - preventative, scheduled and breakdown. • providing engineering support for production operations. Skills & Experience: To be successful in this role you will need: • A genuine passion for engineering and desire to learn and complete an engineering apprenticeship. • NCEA Level 2 or higher, and a pre-trade qualification • To be diligent, dependable, and able to take instruction well. • Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude • To strive for exacting standards of workmanship and be fully committed to the company and the apprenticeship program. • To be physically fit and self-motivated • Some previous engineering, welding or trade work experience would be beneficial, but not essential.
