Korero mo te turanga - About the role Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Nurse Practitioner to join the Mauri Ora Student Health and Counselling team on a permanent basis. This is a clinical role, working with our awesome team of General Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Support staff to contribute to the delivery of effective quality primary care to Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington Students in a challenging and yet very rewarding environment. You will also work closely with Student Counselling, Health Improvement Practitioners, the Health Coach and other Student Support teams. O pumanawa - About you Ideally, you will have the following: * A current Annual Practising Certificate within the scope of Nurse Practitioner * Broad experience in a primary health care setting * Experience in triaging and assessment of acute needs * Experience in sexual health and contraception would be an advantage * Empathy and interest in working with a diverse student population * Experience and interest in working in Maori and Pasifika health an advantage * A genuine interest in younger people's health care needs * Familiarity and competence using Primary Care Medical Records Software (Indici) * Evidence of satisfactory current medical indemnity (NZNO or equivalent cover) * A current CPR certificate Etahi korero hai awhina i a koe - Why you should join our team We offer excellent working conditions where professional development opportunities are actively encouraged and paid for.
