This presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager to lead a wide range of business delivery projects and initiatives.Join a dynamic organisation where our people and our place are at the heart of everything we do.Collaborative team culture, supportive leadership and a range of well-being initiatives and benefits on offer.Full-time role based in either Mangawhai or Dargaville with WFH options.About the opportunity:As Project Manager, you will drive the end-to-end development and delivery of a range of business delivery projects and initiatives to support Council's strategic objectives. You will manage all stages of the project lifecycle ensuring projects are delivered within scope, established timeframes and budget, and that value for our community and partners is maximised.Key responsibilities also include:Develop project plans and proactively manage delivery to plan, including management of scope, procurement, risks, issues, dependencies and benefit realisation.Ensure business delivery projects are well managed, monitored and reported on.Building consent and resource consent management including monitoring of consents.Proactively identify and manage project stakeholders and develop effective working relationships.Manage project procurement including leading procurement strategies and supplier selection and contract initiation and execution.Contract and financial management.About you:You'll be highly organised, astute and detailed, with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively whilst juggling the demands of multiple dynamic projects concurrently. You'll bring energy and resilience, be able to pre-empt challenges and problem solve, and have a natural ability to quickly build collaborative working relationships and influence at all levels with your demonstrated commitment to customer service.In addition, you will have:3+ years project management experienceProject management qualification and professional certificationProven experience in the procurement and management of professional services (including a strong understanding of procurement principals)Strong commercial acumen with experience in project finance management and a track record of delivering projects on or under budget.Poven experience in contractor management - from development through to closure.Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, project management tools, technologies, processes, policies and practicesOur business is to create a thriving community, where people love to live, work and play.
