ABOUT THE POSITION We have an exciting opportunity for an "Senior Electrician/Electrical Design Engineer" to join our Dunedin operations on a full-time basis. You will be required to support and provide effective leadership of the day-to-day operations of the company's electrical requirements, delivery and management of projects, procurement of electrical materials with electrical outputs. KEY RESPONSBILITIES INCLUDE: As required, assist with the training and mentoring of Scott employees from other disciplines to develop electrical understanding and competency. Creation of Electrical Bills of Materials (EBOM) from the above schematics Maintaining a complete file of all correspondence and documentation relating to all projects, as per agreed design process and policy. To ensure appropriate quality control procedures are undertaken and documented. To design electrical power control circuits and electrical panel layouts in conjunction with internal stakeholders. To assist the Electrical Workshop with the manufacture of electrical panels and machine wiring of I/O, motors and other such devices. To occasionally assist with commissioning/debugging developed code, communication networks, drive systems (servo/VSD/soft starters) and other devices at the Dunedin site and customer sites if required. Required to be hands on with the tools in the manufacturing site. Oversite and management of electrical projects with procuring electrical materials. TO BE A GREAT MATCH FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED Demonstrated results in successful Electrical Engineering Management Strong computer literacy Sound experience in a manufacturing/ workshop environment (10 years' experience) Have a current driver's licence and the right to live and work permanently in New Zealand.
