The Role: NZCR is searching for an engaged and supportive Senior HR Advisor to be based at our Auckland site. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a full-time permanent role, with the support of two HR Coordinators. Regular travel to our Christchurch site will be required. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital  Overseeing and advising managers on strategies for recruitment, selection, and interview evaluation procedures.  Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management Develop and implement strategies that align with being a values-based organisation and engaged workforce Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high-performance Answering all human resources queries posed by management and employees. Updating HR policies in line with current legislation and informing staff about changes. Manage onsite H&S and ensure compliance with applicable legislation. About you: You bring proven experience in HR at a senior advisory level. You must have at least 5 years of generalist HR experience, preferably in a unionised environment. You should be able to develop strong relationships and work closely with stakeholders. You possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to coach, mentor, and advise effectively. You should be highly comfortable using an HRIS. You must possess sound knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices. You should have exceptional problem-solving abilities and take a proactive approach to addressing Employment Relations. Prior experience in H&S is a must.
