About the role As our Senior Photographer, you will take the creative and technical lead across our client's campaigns and online executions working closely with the creative director and studio team. You will be driven, organised and passionate about delivering aesthetically beautiful and elevated imagery to client briefs. The images you capture will be authentic and engaging, clearly demonstrating emotive storytelling. Highly communicative and fast thinking you will be able to work with clients and teams on solutions on and off set to achieve the best results. Passionate for growth, you will acquire new skills and techniques, which you will share and mentor other team members. You'll be responsible for Reporting to the Producer, some (but not all) of the role's responsibilities include: Uses professional expertise and skill to capture professional, high-quality images, on brief and on brand.Ensure images being captured for ecomm are consistent in keeping with style guides and directions provided.Provide direction on set, where necessary to achieve results.Provide recommendations for improving image quality.Maintain and organise technical equipment and studio space (cameras, lenses, lights etc).Adhere to internal processes including keeping systems up to date eg. archiving images and maintaining the database (eg Altitude, other).Create exceptional experiences for our clients and team members.Experience, skills, and expertise We are looking for someone who: 5 years + experience in photography, advertising or studio environment.Firm handle on a photography studio, its environment, and its processes.Solid knowledge of standard software applications including Adobe, Dropbox, Vimeo, Capture 1.Operate various photographic equipment such as Canon digital cameras and Broncolor lighting.Thorough understanding of the photography process including techniques, equipment and best practices.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to give instruction and direction to subjects to be photographed and team members.Research and apply industry best practices, including new ideas and efficiencies across all photo production activities.Excellent communication, internal and client-facing.If you were here in the last month you may have: Shoot a range of photography and video of delicious meals and recipes for Woolworths.Photographed the Silver FernsCelebrated the end of the working week with your colleagues at weekly Friday drinks & nibblesHad a coffee catch up with your colleagues at one of the local cafes on Ponsonby RoadWhat we do at Wellcom to support the wellbeing of our people: We support a flexible working environment, including hybrid working with 2 days per week working from home.Professional development opportunities to support career growth including lunch and learns, workshops, and hands-on development.Employee Assistance Program for general wellbeing check-ins, or working through challenging circumstances.Our environmental impact matters, which is why we are working hard to be carbon-neutral by the end of 2025.Access to our online wellness platform and app designed to support physical, mental, and financial wellbeing needs.Recognition and awards programs to celebrate our people and acknowledge their achievements and success.Ready to apply?
