About Us

ACE Surveyor Limited provides a comprehensive range of land surveying services, from topographic surveys to subdivision surveys. Due to the fast growth of the business, we are now looking for a survey technician to join our team.

 

About the role

The Survey technician at ACE Surveyor is to conduct land survey duties including fieldwork, office and CAD work, regulatory, project management, and related activities as deemed appropriate by management

• Redefinition, Topographical, Engineering & LINZ Surveying
• Draft and interpret plans for land use
• Fieldwork
• Operate surveying instruments such as Robotic Total Stations & GPS
• Record survey measurements and descriptive data
• Perform calculations, record survey measurements & descriptive data and
create associated reports and plans.
• Search for boundary pegs and other survey points.
• Ensure that all safety precautions are adhered to when carrying out work in the
field for yourself and the rest of the survey party
• After initial training you will have the opportunity to conduct solo fieldwork
• Ensure that all Equipment is maintained and in effective working condition

T he successful candidate needs to demonstrate :

• Relevant diploma or higher qualification, or at least 3 years experience in land/engineering surveying
• Knowledge of either AutoCAD, GIS, 12D, or Magnet Office
• Familiar with modern surveying equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work through the weekends, late hours, and/or public holidays
• Ability to speak Chinese is an advantage, as we have a client base from China
• New Zealand residency/citizenship, OR a valid work visa for you to work full time
