When you're visiting schools representing School Kit you'll be: Enthusiastic about every classroom you walk into. Resilient enough to still smile as broadly at school #8 as you did at school #1. Personable enough to establish relationships quickly with people you've not met. Unflustered by changing plans, rainy days or impromptu staff meetings. In our wider online teacher network we'll need you to: Lead conversations with teachers that foster a culture of curiosity. Communicate , encourage and cheerlead individual teacher efforts. Represent the kaupapa of School Kit. Celebrate teachers when they do amazing things. Model and support the potential of the network. Communicate and encourage and communicate and encourage…. When it comes to each online dedicated kit space you'll: Work to know the content of each of our kits in detail. Manage and lead online conversations with individual teachers Hold zoom sessions with teachers to enable great teaching of kits. Post content into the online kit space within our teacher network. Add to course content (where applicable) Have enough confidence in the digital space to create video content (don't panic we have an existing platform that you'll use) that show teachers how to complete individual tasks or talk about ideas they might be uncertain about. It isn't always rainbows and butterflies so: You won't be the sort of person to claim the sky is falling at the first sign of a problem. You'll have an eye for anticipating needs, problem solving, horizon scanning and plugging gaps.  You'll be confident enough to handle conversations with teachers who find the digital space challenging. You'll understand most adults don't read emails (no matter how succinct, funny or well written they are) and that will mean repeated, polite communication.  You'll be brave enough to follow up and, where appropriate, challenge statements and tone that falls outside our community guidelines. In general you will be  digitally literate culturally competent passionately curious educationally adventurous. Things to know: This role is a .4 FTE with an unusual split of time.  For registered teachers, the role pays at standard reliever rates Travelling weeks (Full time weeks) 5 days per week (4 days visiting schools and 1 day admin follow up) 6-7 travelling weeks each year, visiting schools across Aotearoa.  Travel is generally as a small team to a pre-defined region. All travel and accomodation paid Full drivers licence required Visiting is non-negotiable. Non-travelling weeks (makes up the remainder of the .4 FTE role)   2 days per week Work from home. Can be based anywhere in Aotearoa with a good internet connection. Some flexibility in regards to hours worked.
