We have our preschool at our Auckland campus and an Early Years Whanau Centre at our campus in Christchurch.At both centres we provide programmes that encourage language development and offer a place of support for parent and whanau; a caring and welcoming learning environment and time to form relationships, support each other and identify the resources to meet specific needs.THE ROLE / TE MAHIThe Teacher of the Deaf (ECE) is a specialist teacher, who delivers high quality education and service to learners who attend our preschool in Kelston. We are looking for a qualified teacher to join our team on a part-time basis (Monday-Wednesday) for terms 3 and 4 covering staff who are currently on secondments. The responsibility of this role is to establish and maintain learning focused relationships with learners and to effectively engage learners as active participants in their learning, delivering positive student outcomes.Preference will be given to qualified Teachers of the Deaf able to work with a range of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children across all communication modes and varying learning contexts. However, applications will be considered from qualified ECE teachers (including beginning teachers) with strong communication skills.
