Technical Sales and Customer Service Representative - Saeco Wilson - Tauranga

Hands-on, technical industrial bearings sales role. Ideal for curious & mechanically minded people.

Key responsibilities in the role:
Customer Service

  • Providing exceptional customer service by taking and processing customer orders in a courteous, efficient, accurate, and timely manner, and attending to customer questions, complaints and concerns immediately, and facilitating satisfactory resolution.
  • Organising workflow to meet customer deadlines.
  • Coordinating and develop existing customer network; Conducting ongoing customer needs-analysis and researching customer requirements through first party resources.
  • Collaborating with other company branches/departments to execute order-related matters/issues in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Effectively presenting and discussing the company products and soliciting only those desired products provided by the company to current and prospective customers in a way that conveys an image of quality, integrity and superior understanding and delivery of customer service/needs.
  • Complete any training as requested by the Company.
  • Completing and maintaining accurate sales forecasts, data gathering and reports for managers in a timely
  • manner.
  • Developing quotations in cooperation with the Motion Centre Manager based on identified sales strategy and
  • information collected from customers or partners assigned.
  • Recording accurately and in a timely manner all sales-related activities using CRM.
  • Assisting in completing sales projects including proposals, and marketing, and assisting in developing and
  • implementing showroom promotional activity to drive counter sales.
  • Complete any training as requested by the Company.
  • Some warehouse duties-picking and packing customer orders, and local deliveries when required.
  • Participating in branch meetings and taking responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned action items.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors/managers, sales team, and other relevant staff members, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee sales and customer objectives are met.
  • Compiling and maintaining all required paperwork, records, and documents.
  • Updating customer records in a timely manner and/or notifying administration about it.
  • Understanding and using appropriate company pricing systems and policies.
  • Taking part in stocktaking procedures.
  • Writing out customer credit notes and return stock to shelf.
  • Buying in items from approved suppliers to meet customer requirements.

To be successful, you must have the following experience and qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience in bearings & transmission sales. 
  • Safety oriented.
  • Certificate or product knowledge training in mechanical bearings.
  • Certificate II and III in Warehousing Operations and/or Certificate II and III in Logistics as a minimum and/or
    proven record in same/similar role.
  • Customers Service Skills, Product Knowledge.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work quickly and methodically.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
