WELDER/ FABRICATORFull time permanent Welder/ Fabricator is required for our busy company. The minimum work will be 32 hours pw and maximum will be 50 hours pw. The minimum wage is $30.00 ph and maximum wages will be $35.00ph. The overtime payment will be $45ph. Candidates should pass a background check and be physically fit and able to heavy lifting. New Zealand citizen or resident is preferable, please mention if you are NZ resident or citizen.  ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and proceduresExperience in TIG/MiG/Arc weldingStrong ability to read plans/drawingsDetermine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirementsMust follow all safety policies and wear PPE Must be able to read and interpret welding symbols, plans, blueprints and sketches, Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be weldedAlign components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp piecesWeld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gapsTest and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flawsMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safetyMust be able to position, align, fit and weld parts to form complete units or subunits by following blueprints and layout specifications using jigs, welding equipment and hand tools to ensure it meets measurements and specifications outlined in drawingsfinishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutionscleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding16. Assembling, installing and repairing pipe components and systems according to specifications.17.  Working knowledge of AWS, API, ANSI and ASME codes and standard. 18. Candidate should be able to installing, flashing and aluminium cladding 19. Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)20. Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, digger, truck etc.) Skills Requires: 21.    3 years of relevant experience. 22. Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)Note: If the candidate is New Zealand citizen or residence, he must mention it.
