Calder Stewart Steel Calder Stewart Steel is recognised as a premium custom fabricator, continuously identifying ways to streamline steel detailing, pricing, and final fabrication through the use of state-of-the-art software. Our innovative work supports the construction of our buildings by enabling less site welding, more accurate structures, and the ability to undertake large-scale construction projects. 
About the Role We are looking to engage with experienced Welders for our team based in Milton. Our Welders are responsible for the quality welding of steel components that are essential to our wider business. 
Skills and Attributes You will be detail oriented, able to work autonomously or as part of a team.  You will be focused on meeting targets and deadlines with a commitment to getting the job done. Prior work experience in the structural steel industry is essential.
Additionally, we will be seeking candidates with the following skills and attributes:
The ability to obtain a welding ticket. 2 -4 years of structural welding and/or fabricating experience.  Ability to read, understand and follow engineering drawings accurately (essential). Can produce high quality work efficiently. Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate with both staff and customers.  Willingness to do shift work and travel when required. You will be versatile and able to confidently handle a wide variety of work. Flexible with working hours and willing to do overtime when required. Culture and Benefits This role is full-time (minimum 40 hours per week), an hourly rate ranging between $30.00- $36.65ph, depending on skills and experience.

A negative drug test result will be a condition of any offer of employment. Skills & Experience At least four years' experience in a welding and/or fabricating position
Relevant Welding Qualifications (or the ability to obtain)
Thorough knowledge of modern-day steel fabrication techniques
Ability to accurately interpret plans and specifications, record and measure data
Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation pertaining to a factory environment
Attention to detail
High level of communicative ability – both written   and verbal
Strong interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work within a team environment
