Workforce Delivery Manager – Mana Ake - Christchurch Child Welfare, Youth & Family Services (Community Services & Development) Government (Government & Defence) Support + develop capability of the ICAYMHS + addictions AOD workforce Create an impact through the primary school initiatives programme Permanent national role – Christchurch/ Auckland/ Wellington location The opportunity Whāraurau seek an experienced and passionate Workforce Delivery Manager to lead and facilitate the activity that supports our Mana Ake, primary school initiatives workforce development programme, alongside other deliverables and programmes. This is a permanent 32-40 hours per week (negotiable) role that can be based in Christchurch/Auckland/Wellington and you will be required to travel nationally on a regular basis.  You will plan, resource, deliver and report on these school initiatives to build capability of the Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health Services (ICAYMHS) and AOD workforce and related workforces. These programmes will support the development of knowledge and skills of those working in the sector. You will lead and coordinate multiple projects and subcontractors as well as provide leadership and mentor Workforce Delivery Leads. Ideally you will have experience in tamariki/children’s and whānau mental health and wellbeing and experience working with primary schools and community services. An advantage to understand a Te Ao Māori world view, a good understanding of cultural aspects, and awareness of equity issues for Māori and Pasifika. Key responsibilities: Gather and report on sector intel to mitigate risks. Continuous improvement of programmes and quality assurance to optimise resources. Line management of a team Lead, facilitate, mentor, contribute to development, training and delivery of Whāraurau work programmes. Produce and coordinate financial reporting. Contribute to the development of proposals in line with strategy for growth. Lead and collaborate with subcontractors. Provide key stakeholder management with the mental health and addiction sector. Ensure principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi are supported and implemented in delivery of service. Your skills and experience: It is essential for you to hold: A minimum of 5 years’ experience with management of programmes with tamariki (children) wellbeing, addictions and or mental health services in Aotearoa. Knowledge of the infant, child and youth wellbeing/mental health/addictions sector. Understand Māori & Pacific approaches to wellbeing, and a commitment to promote positive outcomes for tangata whenua and pacific communities. Experience in across-agency/sector initiatives, project work and complex multi-party projects. Track record of effective stakeholder management and leadership/mentoring. Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timelines. Evidence of financial reporting, quality assurance, risk management and compliance. The ability to travel nationally with potential for weekly travel when required. Through UniServices, a not-for-profit company of Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, we are contracted by the Ministries of Health and Education to grow the capacity and capability of the infant, child, youth and whānau mental health and addictions workforces.
