Y6 classroom teacher - (fixed term unit negotiable) Full time, Permanent Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts A change in circumstances for one of our teachers has resulted in an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team! We have a wonderful class of Year 6 engaged learners who would love a passionate, motivated teacher with excellent curriculum knowledge to join them on their learning journey. If you have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, are flexible, with a good understanding of current best practice in relation to teaching and learning, we would be delighted to hear from you. We are currently in our second year working with Massey University to develop our Literacy programme across our school, so a willingness to embrace our journey to deliver a structured literacy approach is a must. A commitment to supporting students with additional needs is also essential. One fixed term unit is negotiable if you have a strength in physical education and you are eager to work alongside another awesome Y6 teacher to support our PE and sport programmes. Whilst experience is preferable we encourage provisionally registered teachers to apply. This position would ideally start term 2 week 6, however the start date can be negotiated for the right person.
