This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in professional services in a part time (22.5 hours per week), fixed term capacity. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to help manage hiring processes, schedule interviews, and ensure a seamless candidate experience.

You’ll join our People and Performance team in Wellington as a Talent Acquisition Advisor and be part of a passionate, nationwide team of recruitment professionals dedicated to connecting great people with meaningful opportunities. The impact you’ll make: 

As an Advisor you are the face and first contact point for our future employees. There is no typical day but your duties may include: 

• Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for a variety of roles.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop strategic sourcing plans.
• Utilise our ATS and CRM tools to manage candidate pipelines and ensure a seamless recruitment experience.
• Source candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
• Screen, interview, and assess candidates to ensure alignment with role requirements and company culture.
• Collaborate with HR and business leaders to support workforce planning and talent forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and diversity hiring practices.
• Analyse recruitment metrics and provide regular reports to stakeholders to inform decision-making.
• Drive employer branding initiatives and candidate engagement strategies.
• Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and vendors as needed.
• Stay current with market trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor hiring activity.

Your expertise: 

Bring your passion for recruitment and see what impact you can make.  You’ll also have: 

• 3+ years in full-cycle recruitment or candidate management position ideally within professional services, agency or a fast-paced corporate environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the business.
• Expertise in sourcing strategies, including direct sourcing, talent mapping, and leveraging social media platforms.
• Proficiency with ATS and CRM systems, preferably SmartRecruiters or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with video interviewing tools, such as HireVue, and comfort with virtual recruitment processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on candidate experience and employer branding.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret recruitment data and provide actionable insights.
• Knowledge of employment legislation and best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion hiring.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities with agility and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented with experience mentoring junior recruiters or contributing to recruitment process improvements.
• Continuous learner, staying up to date with market trends, talent acquisition innovations, and emerging technologies.
