By starting your career at Deloitte, you are joining a community of extraordinary professionals who put ‘making an impact’ at the heart of what they do. With our global reach, unwavering support, inclusive atmosphere, and cutting-edge technology, you'll have the opportunity to evolve into your fullest potential.

A graduate role at Deloitte is the perfect introduction to your first full-time permanent role in a business. You start with a cohort of people just like you, who have recently completed their studies, and get hands-on experience and support to apply your tertiary learnings in a real-world context. People at Deloitte are the best at what they do and learning from high-performers is a fantastic way to kickstart your growth and career.

Graduates at Deloitte have a week-long induction to learn about the business, get paired with a buddy and coach to help them find their place in the team, and build connections with almost 200 other graduates doing the exact same thing! You are not on a ‘programme’ and instead inducted into the business as a key member of the team from day one. Once you sign your contract with Deloitte, you will start in February the year following. Between the application process and your start-date, we have many events and touchpoints, so you feel part of the Deloitte whānau before your first day and are greeted with friendly faces.

If you are interested in pursuing a professional qualification, Deloitte support this through paid study leave, subsidised courses, and training from senior members of the team. There are also many learning and development opportunities offered to our graduates outside of the professional qualification realm.

Job Description

As an Graduate/Analyst, you will engage in client interviews, workshops, and training sessions, develop deliverables, and present recommendations to stakeholders nationwide across diverse industries.

Organisation & Workforce Transformation supports our clients across four key areas:

Organisation Design: Focusing on how companies are structured to ensure they operate efficiently. It involves assessing the current organisation, realigning leadership roles, creating effective functional models, reducing costs, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring teams, and providing consultation support. The goal is to align the organisation’s structure with its strategic objectives for optimal performance.

Leadership, Culture and Learning: Here, we help organisations develop their company values and desired culture to foster a positive and productive environment. This includes developing high-performance teams, enhancing leadership capabilities through development programs, and designing and delivering learning experiences. The aim is to build strong leadership and a culture that supports continuous learning and development.

Workforce Strategies: This area is about planning and managing the workforce to meet future business needs. It involves strategic workforce planning to identify necessary capabilities and skills, redesigning work processes to incorporate AI and automation, and planning remuneration and benefits. The objective is to ensure the organisation has the right talent and skills to achieve its goals.

Strategic & Technology Change: This involves guiding organisations through significant changes, such as adopting new digital technologies and integrating post-merger operations. We focus on enabling new ways of working, promoting sustainability. The purpose is to help organisations adapt to changes smoothly and remain competitive.

We deliver our work in project teams with team members across our different offices in New Zealand and at times Asia Pacific. This provides a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues throughout New Zealand and Asia Pacific.

Your typical day will include:

  • Working closely with clients to solve their complex problems, for example;
