Job Description

The opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Academic Lead to join our team. The Academic Lead will play a pivotal role in developing and managing programs within the primary industries sector, initially focusing on Beef, Sheep, and Deer. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering stakeholder relationships, ensuring program effectiveness, and providing leadership and support to our team.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of programs within the primary industries sector.
  • Measure and analyse program effectiveness from an educational and customer experience perspective.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and business needs.
  • Foster productive relationships with key stakeholders, including industry representatives and other educational organisations.
  • Provide leadership and support to Training Specialists and Mentors.
  • Uphold the company's values and leadership model.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Hold an adult teaching qualification (NZ Certificate in Adult & Tertiary Training Level 4 or equivalent).
  • Technical knowledge in the primary industries subject area.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Alignment with Skills' culture and values.
