Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Quantity Surveying Tutor at our Wintec | Te Pūkenga business division located in Hamilton. The role of a Quantity Surveying Tutor at Wintec encompasses delivering high-quality educational experiences including designing and delivering curriculum content, providing mentorship and support to students, and fostering industry connections.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $70,000 and $90,000, dependent on skills and experience
The Quantity Surveying Tutor role is based in our Built Environment team, Wintec | Te Pūkenga reporting to the team manager and will be responsible for:
· Delivering high-quality education in quantity surveying related subjects that meets the needs of students, industry and professional groups
· Contributing to ongoing curriculum development, teaching delivery and assessment practices
· Fulfilling necessary administrative obligations
· Participating as a member of a teaching team
He kōrero mōu| About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
· A higher degree in quantity surveying or a closely related filed
· Highly developed skills in key quantity surveying competencies including measurement, estimating, cost planning, contract administration and procurement.
· Experience as a quantity surveyor working on a range of commercial projects
· Have the ability to develop and implement flexible teaching and learning methods including the use of learning technologies
· Have effective communication skills, and a demonstrable commitment to collaboration and working in a team
