Job Description - Account Manager

At Silverstripe, we're expanding our team and seeking another dedicated and passionate Account Manager based in Wellington, who thrives on building strong client relationships.

Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you'll be a key player in our Client Services and Sales Team, looking after our core clients, expertly identifying and closing new business opportunities with both new and existing clients.  Your ability to consistently deliver as a trusted advisor, enabling our clients to achieve their digital dreams, through understanding their painpoints and identifying opportunities to exceed expectations will be paramount.



We are also, at the same time, recruiting for an Account Director level role. So we have two exciting opportunities in our Client Services and Sales Team, depending on your skills and experience.

What you'll be doing:



  • Driving Growth: Identify and secure new business from both new and existing clients

  • Galvanizing: Rallying clients and  inspiring and motivating others to take action.


We're looking for someone who:



  • Is a Client Maestro: You're comfortable in a client best practice environment, navigating the entire sales lifecycle from leading RFPs, researching and qualifying opportunities, to skillfully managing and closing deals.

  • Is a Relationship Architect: You're an exceptional relationship builder with solid stakeholder management skills, capable of forging lasting connections with both internal and external clients 

  • Engages with Influence: You have proven experience working effectively with a variety of client levels, including C-Suite decision-makers.

  • Communicates with Confidence: You're a confident presenter, a skilled negotiator, and a valuable contributor to pre-sales documents.

  • Thirst for Knowledge: While technical expertise isn't required (we have plenty of experts!), you possess a strong desire to understand business needs and articulate how our cutting-edge products can provide solutions.


What skills and experience will set you apart?



  • Technical Sales Prowess: Experience selling software, professional services, SaaS, or other technical offerings.

  • High-Value Engagement: A track record of success in selling products and services through high-value engagements.

  • Target Achiever: A consistent history of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

  • CRM Savvy: Proficient in using CRM systems, we use Salesforce or other reporting tools.

  • Public Sector Experience: Understand how to navigate government procurement and commercial cycles
