Accountant

We are on the look out for an Accountant to join our Finance team. Based out of our Paengaroa Market Support Office, this role plays a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of Comvita as a business, by ensuring accurate timely and compliant financial information.

About the Role  

The role supports effective decision-making through preparation and analysis of financial reports, management of day-to-day accounting activities, and adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies. Working closely with stakeholders across Comvita, the Accountant helps drive financial efficiency, identifies opportunities for improvement and contributes to the overall financial health and sustainability of Comvita.  

What we are looking for;  

• Maintain accurate and compliant financial records in line with accounting standards and company policies 


• Prepare journals and complete balance sheet reconciliations 


• Support month-end and year-end close processes 


• Support compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including preparation of group financial statements 


• Accounting for share capital transactions and share schemes, including equity reconciliations 

What you will bring; 

• Tertiary degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and qualified CA/CPA Accountant 


• 5+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance functions within FMCG, Consumer Goods or Health Products (Desirable) 


• Experience working within an NZX listed company would be advantageous 


• Audit experience  


• Understanding of NZIFRS accounting standards
