Accountant/ BAS

We are seeking experienced accountants to join the team of a well-respected and growing CA Firm and manage your own portfolio of diverse clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and be in it for the long-term! There is the possibility of relocating to the beautiful Taranaki for this role, but could also be based in Waikato.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing financial statements, tax returns, GST, and PAYE returns etc.
• Proficient in accounting software, especially Xero
• Managing your wide range of client portfolios to meet their business and accounting needs
• Maintaining strong client relationships

What You'll Need:

• Recent experience working in a New Zealand CA Firm in an Accounting or BAS role
• Tertiary qualifications are a must, but CA qualifications aren't a necessity
• Experience with Xero is preferable as that is the main system used
• Excellent communication skills
• Great initiative and self-driven
• High attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management skills
