As an Associate at PwC Napier, you'll work with diverse clients in the primary sector, hospitality and tourism, construction and manufacturing, and innovation sectors. Responsibilities:

  • Support the wider team with providing expert advice on accounting and tax matters to a diverse client base, offering tailored solutions that align with their unique needs.

  • Assist organisations in identifying risk areas and sustainable planning opportunities throughout the tax life cycle, ensuring compliance and maximising tax benefits.

  • Prepare technical accounting and tax compliance work, including tax returns and statutory financial statements.

  • Support clients' finance functions by assisting with tasks such as month-end reporting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial modelling, board reporting, and process improvements.

  • Engage in the planning and execution of multiple projects with precision and efficiency, delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

  • Commerce/Accounting degree.

  • 2+ years of experience in a CA environment or a Business Advisory role, demonstrating a solid foundation in accounting.

  • Proficiency in preparing tax and accounting compliance documents, including tax returns and financial statements.

  • Understanding of software tools such as Xero, Excel and data analytic tools, utilising technology to deliver efficient solutions.

  • Strong ties to the Hawkes Bay or willingness to relocate.

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and acute attention to detail.
