Airedale Property Trust (APT) is a property investment, management and development trust affiliated with the Methodist Church (MMN) of New Zealand. Together, the Three Trusts (MMN, APT and Lifewise) directly manage a variety of Social Services, a portfolio of social housing, retirement villages, and retail and residential properties.
Finance provides Shared Service across Airedale Property Trust, The Lifewise Trust and Methodist Mission Northern.
You will assist with providing the Trusts with accurate and timely information, which supports the strategic and operational planning process. The successful candidate will have over three years of experience in a similar role, with an eye for detail and the ability to work in a complex and changing environment. Someone with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn. This is a varied role that will allow you to utilise your existing skills whilst providing a new challenge to help you grow.

LEVEL OF DELEGATION
As stated in The Three Trusts Policy on Delegated Authorities
WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Invoicing contract income, property management fees and ad hoc invoicing as required.
Processing of recurring rent invoices for tenant accounts
Income-related rent subsidy (IRRS) claims.
Credit Control of contract income
Allocation of customer invoices.
Bank reconciliations
Provide cover for the Accounts Services Manager when on leave.
Assist with month-end close and reconciliations.
Supporting Finance business partners and internal customers.
Supporting the statutory audit
Supporting the wider team as required on ad hoc work and projects
General administration tasks and supporting all finance functions where required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting tight deadlines.

WHAT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
Relevant qualification in accounting or finance desired but not essential.
Over 3 years of experience in a similar role and working with high volumes.
Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience is beneficial but not necessary.
Be proficient with MS Office applications. Advanced Excel is desirable.
A general understanding of finance processes
Excellent communication skills.
Organised - proven ability to prioritise work and achieve challenging deadlines.
Quality and results-oriented, with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting tight deadlines.
