Job Description - Accounts Clerk - Competitive Pay

We are searching for an adaptable Accounts Clerk to join our amazing team at He Puna Marama Trust in Whangarei Central, Northland.

He Puna Marama Trust is currently looking for a skilled Accounts Clerk to join our small team and be able to perform a variety of accounting, and financial tasks. 

You will report directly to the Financial Services Manager and collaborate with and assist the other members of the Corporate Finance/Accounts Team. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to thrive in a dynamic and bustling office environment.

 

Requirements of the Role:
We seek an individual with payroll expertise to oversee the timely, accurate, and efficient processing of the weekly payroll for around 100 staff members. This role also involves aiding in financial record maintenance, preparing reports, and bank statement reconciliation. Proficiency in software applications like XERO and ACE Payroll is preferred.

To be considered, suitable candidates must have experience in:

  • Processing of all Debtors and Creditors
  • Payroll
  • Preparation of GST and PAYE returns 
  • Cash Receipts and Banking
  • Management and reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Monthly financial reporting

Applicant may also be required to perform Administrative tasks, such as: 

  • Collecting Mail
  • Reconciling Events and Fundraisers
