Accounts Manager

PURPOSE: 

We are looking for a hands-on Accounts Administrator/Manager that wants to step up into an influential and potentially a leadership role, in a successful building company. The role will be well supported by both the General Manager and our support network and offers a diversified hands-on role operating a private business. You will be ambitious, operate at a fast pace and want to work in a high growth company with strong values, and high standards.

Primarily this role is to ensure that all financial aspects of the business are up to date and accurate so that the General Manager can be provided with reliable financial information that reflects the performance of the business.

The role is a mix of financial reporting (monthly reports, financial management, and variance reporting (P&L, cashflow, balance sheet etc), day to day financial administration (AP/AR, bank reconciliation, etc.) and value adding through strong financial management and understanding the current business and future growth plans. 

Ensure the accurate, efficient, and effective operation of accounting and financial functions for the business and drive a strong culture of financial ownership.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Solid, demonstrated experience using Excel (There will be an excel test!)

Experience with XERO a definite necessity.

Strong attention to detail, can work under pressure, enjoys a challenge and enjoys seeking out continuous improvement. 

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

A confident team player and quick decision maker based on strong financial understanding, collaborative, and customer centric who enjoys a positive work environment. 

Must be a New Zealand resident and with local accounting experience.
