Viking Sales and Services Ltd (Viking NZ) is a trusted name in the New Zealand fire protection industry and has been a supplier of choice for over 27 years.  Viking provides independent fire sprinkler contractors with integrated solutions for any fire protection challenge.  Due to sustained growth we are now looking for an Administration / Internal Sales team member to join our dynamic team in Penrose. 

About the role

The role is full of variety but mainly involves providing a high level of customer service & sales support to our existing network of trade customers. 

Reporting to the  Manager some of the duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Inbound sales calls
  • Sales support to on-road representatives
  • General administration tasks
  • Face to face service for walk-in trade customers
  • Liaising with the warehouse
  • General sales assistant duties
  • and General administration duties

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be an individual that possesses a confident administrative background and thrives on attention to detail. Our fast paced customer service and sales environment demands a high level of organization. Minimum requirements include:

  • 1 years admin & customer service experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - word, excel, outlook
  • Familiarity in sales and inventory based software for customer order processing & invoicing (would be an advantage)
  • Confidence to deliver phone, email and face to face customer service
  • Product based customer service preferred, but not essential

This is a full time position, Monday to Friday day shift hours on offer.  If you have clear and confident communication skills and a team focused attitude you will go a long way in this role.
