The Opportunity

Join our team based at the Stroke Foundation national office on Molesworth Street as an Administrator. In this pivotal role, you will provide day to day support to all staff, clients and customers contributing to our mission of preventing strokes and aiding stroke recovery. Working closely with the General Manager of Compliance & Risk, the Administration team and other key stakeholders, you will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth operation of our offices and services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all reception duties, greeting visitors, and maintaining a tidy office environment
  • Providing administrative support to all National Office teams, the Chief Executive, and the other SFNZ Administrators
  • Managing all postal services, answering and directing phone calls and incoming emails in a polite and friendly manner
  • Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Managing vehicle fleet processes and staff travel
  • Maintaining office supplies and equipment
  • Assisting with website updates and event logistics

About You

We are looking for a friendly, organised person with a passion for making things run smoothly. In this role, you will be the go-to person for all things administrative, using your initiative to support our team and being the face of the Stroke Foundation for both in house visitors and clients on the phone. 

To be part of our team it is essential that you:

  • 2+ years experience in an administration role
  • Proven organisation skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative to solve problems, as well as part of a wider team
  • Friendly and professional demeanour

This role is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week), mostly office-based and requires the applicant to be eligible to work within New Zealand.
