Afternoon Shift Manager

We are looking for an exceptional Afternoon Shift Manager to join our Manufacturing team in Wiri, Manukau.

The Role

With your strong work ethic and professional attitude, you will work closely with Manufacturing and Warehouse Leading Hands to manage and prioritise workload, provide technical support, help with staff training, manage personnel issues and inquiries, and provide feedback and reports to senior management. 

You will report to the Production Manager and be a key member of the Wiri manufacturing team. You will enjoy developing strong relationships with staff and management and have strong technical skills in carpet manufacturing.

As an Afternoon-shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing and prioritising workload, managing staff on employment and performance matters, and providing technical support to our Tufting, Beaming and Finishing departments.

About You

This role is highly relationship driven so you must be personable, possess a strong quality and performance focus and be self-motivated and enthusiastic. You will have a strong management and technical background with a passion to succeed.

To thrive in this role, you will have a strong technical knowledge in carpet manufacturing, ideally with recognised qualifications and with at least 5 years’ experience managing people. You will quickly develop a passion for our company, employees, products, and customers. Prior production management experience and excellent communication skills are an essential requirement of the role.

Our manufacturing site is located in Wiri, Manukau and this is an Afternoon shift role, 3.30pm to Midnight, Monday-Friday. The salary for this role is in the range of $80k to $100k and will be determined based on level and relevance of experience and qualifications.
