Aftersales Advisor - Service & Parts - Timaru

We are looking for a customer focused Aftersales Advisor to join our team in Timaru. This is a combined Service and Parts Advisor role. Offering variety and the opportunity to work across both workshop service coordination and parts support.

You will be a key point of contact for customers, ensuring vehicles are serviced efficiently while also assisting with parts enquiries and orders. This role requires strong organisation, good communication skills and a genuine commitment to delivery excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Log and coordinate service jobs while keeping customers updated

• Liaise with technicians and monitor workshop capacity

• Prepare repair orders, costing and invoicing

• Provide parts advice and support to internal and external customers

• Process parts quotes, orders, and follow-ups

• Maintain strong product and parts knowledge

• Assist with inventory accuracy and stock management

• Deliver professional, friendly service to customers and colleagues

• Answer phone enquiries promptly and professionally

• Build strong relationships and ensure customer needs are met efficiently

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical or automotive knowledge (service or parts experience preferred)

• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers and staff

• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks

• High standard of literacy and numeracy

• Good computer skills and confidence using Windows-based systems

• Professional phone manner and customer-focused attitude

• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
