Role Purpose

To design and deploy intelligent workflow automation solutions that eliminate manual tasks, integrate internal systems, and improve operational efficiency across the Stonewood Group.

Stonewood Group is a diversified group of companies operating across real estate, infrastructure, renewable energy, co-working, private equity, and hospitality. We employ over 600 staff and contractors across New Zealand, Australia, and China. Stonewood Homes, a national housing company operating across New Zealand and Australia with 22 franchisees, is a core part of our group portfolio. Our associated businesses include:

- RCR Green – focused on renewable energy infrastructure, particularly large-scale solar farms and EV charging station deployment.

- RCR Infrastructure – a leading electrical and HVAC services provider with clients such as Woolworths Supermarkets, Chorus, ANZ, Fonterra, and KiwiRail.

- DataGuard – specialists in UPS power solutions, serving Datacom, hospitals, and universities.

- Urban Hub – shared office spaces.

This role will be central to building scalable automation solutions that support core business functions and eliminate inefficiencies through integrated and intelligent workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Workflow Automation

- Design and deploy n8n-powered workflows across departments.

- Replace repetitive, manual tasks with efficient automation.

System Integration

- Integrate Xero, Teams, PipeDrive, ReLeased, and phone systems.

- Ensure reliable real-time system-to-system data sync.

Custom Logic & AI Embedding

- Extend workflows with custom JavaScript or AI-based logic.

- Apply LangChain where advanced logic or LLMs are required.

Process Discovery & ROI Mapping

- Collaborate with teams to map processes and define ROI.

- Document improvements and track time savings and efficiency gains.

n8n, JavaScript, APIs/webhooks, LangChain, CrewAI, Xero, ReLeased, PipeDrive

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- 8–12 production-grade workflows in Year 1

- 10–15% reduction in manual time for 2+ units

- Integration with 5+ systems

- 99%+ uptime across automation stack

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience building workflows using n8n

- Strong in systems integration, API design, and JS scripting

- Familiar with finance, CRM, and admin automation

- Able to extend and troubleshoot automation pipelines
