Position Role Type:

We are currently recruiting for tradesperson strong hand skills to join our NDT team in a permanent full-time position. This is perfect for someone who can work in defined processes, is quality and safety oriented, pays close attention to detail, and is willing to learn. You will receive a full training and comprehensive onboarding. 

What You Will Do

  • After completing your induction training you will work in our NDT section completing required work on engine parts, in accordance with the approved data, customer requirements and company procedures.

  • Using our computer system to document and record your work. 

  • Ensuring that your work meets all health and safety requirements.

  • This is a safety sensitive role, and all successful candidates will go through a medical assessment and drug & alcohol testing.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • You have a trade qualification on NZQA  or equivalent Level 4 in Aviation, Automotive, mechanical, heavy diesel or similar engineering field. Please provide a copy of your relevant qualifications upon application.

  • Must be able to legally work in New Zealand

  • Must be certified to Level 3 in at least 2 of the following methods

1. Penetrant Testing

2. Magnetic Particle Testing

3. Eddy Current

4. Ultrasonic Inspection

  • Existing certifications must be in line with NAS410 / EN4179 / ISO 9712 / PCN or ASNT

  • Applicant must have completed a formal apprenticeship in aviation maintenance, or a related trade and a minimum of 5 years experience in aviation maintenance.

  • Able to work in physical tasks, such as but not limited to: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, and twisting.

  • Experience in working in defined processes and following instructions.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working in a penetrant process line in an engine shop

  • Experience with the V2500 or GTF

  • Experience with Ultrasonic Immersion Testing

  • Experience working with a magnetic particle bench unit

  • Strong hand skills.

  • Good computer literacy.

  • Have a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and good organizational skills.

  • Be a confident, effective communicator and a strong team player.

  • Be passionate about your work and always strive for the best and take pride in your work.

  • Be able to comply with a strong safety and quality culture.

  • Be flexible and adaptable.
