The role:
Responsible for the leadership, clinical governance and line management of a multi-disciplinary Health Professional team delivering rehabilitation and quality mental health interventions to patients in the Mackay Private inpatient and outpatient community. The role also provides support to the Director of Nursing in the Clinical Governance and Allied Health Team Service Delivery.

You will be responsible for supervising senior allied health staff, clinically where appropriate and from a Governance perspective in other cases.

This role is responsible for service planning and key performance indicators including but not limited to quality and accreditation, human resource management, clinical risk and governance, budgeting and performance management. This position provides strategic oversight and requires continuous quality improvement including service development of new and existing programs including promotion, delivery and delivery models.

Mandatory qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline: Physiotherapy, Psychology, Occupational Therapy Social Work, Exercise Physiology
• Graduate Diploma or Honors Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience as determined by Aurora
• A post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline (for Psychologist, Clinical Masters, PhD or Doctorate) or equivalent experience as determined by Aurora
• Evidence of successful management experience is required
• Must be fully registered with AHPRA or eligible for membership with relevant accreditation association/registration authority and working in a fully registered capacity for at least 8 full time equivalent years

Desirable:

• Project management experience
• Qualification in business management or equivalent
• Relevant accreditation and Clinical/Board endorsement to supervise Higher Degree student where appropriate to the Employee's discipline.
• Effective communication and liaison skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with consumers, carers, multidisciplinary staff and members of the public.
• Effective problem solving skills.
• Effective time management skills
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multi and interdisciplinary team both within and outside of the AURORA organisation
