About the role:
You thrive when you are supervising a team, keeping on top of operational challenges, and ensuring excellent customer service is achieved through the actions of your team.
You will also not hesitate to get your hands dirty by working alongside your team and to do the work by yourself when needed.
As an operations manager, you play a pivotal role in ensuring that the day-to-day activities of a business run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities typically include overseeing production processes, managing resources, coordinating with various departments, and implementing strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities: - Overseeing day to day operations in the Transport Operations Department
- Need to contribute to the development of strategic plans for the organisation.
- Responsible for allocating resources effectively to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- seek ways to improve processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase quality.
- Ensuring that products or services meet quality standards is crucial.
- Able to train and communicate effectively with our people (verbal and written)
- Delivering value to customers by ensuring timely delivery of products or services, resolving customer issues, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- They need to lead and motivate their teams to achieve organisational goals.
What We Offer: - Full time Position, 45 hours per week, starting Monday to Friday, based in Auckland.

What You Bring: - Previous Transport operations or dispatch experience preferable
- MHE function awareness
- Forklift Licence and OSH License
- Excellent listening skills
- Good numerical and analytical ability
- Computer literate – Microsoft Office
