The Venue At
Amano we are passionate about delivering rustic, Italian-inspired fare with a focus on provenance. Our backbone is seasonal, sustainable and local produce from New Zealand growers and farmers. Simply prepared, humbly served food connected to its origin served in a relaxed space that lets you enjoy on your terms. Find us on the dazzling Waitemata Harbour. The space spans Britomart’s historic Altrans and Quay buildings. Our bakery and restaurant are now part of the rich history of this beautiful site.
The Opportunity We are on the hunt for an experienced hospitality professional to step into the role of
Duty Manager. Ideally, you will have at least 2 years of experience in a comparable management role, a fantastic attitude with exceptional care and understanding for the overall customer experience, and are familiar with Italian cuisine and beverage. Flexibility to work nights and weekends, the right to work in New Zealand and a current LCQ and managers certificate or the eligibility to get on are essential.
As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Day to day operations of the venue including; staff performance, customer experience, and quality of offerings at all times
- Legal compliance of the venue in particular to the Sale of Alcohol Act 2012
- Assisting with events and group bookings
- Financial management ensuring costs (labour and goods) are well managed
- Assist with the training and development of junior team members
- Maintaining venue standards and presentation at all times
