Analyst - Start Now

The Role: 

We are looking for an experienced Analyst to join our team. This is an Auckland-based position which will require both working from home and working in the office. This is a permanent full time position, with 40 hours per week guaranteed.
Salary range (per annum): $110,000 - $150,000 dependent on experience.

This role spans the traditional roles of Software Tester and Business Analyst. From a testing perspective, you will be heavily involved in designing, documenting, and automating tests which software will need to pass. In addition, you will be required to use your commercial knowledge and experience to work with our Developers, Product Owners, Stream Owners and clients to elicit requirements from design, and see them built to deployment. 

Role Responsibilities Include:

• Confirming user stories meet their conditions of satisfaction and are release-ready.
• Refining user stories in the team's backlog - clearly expressing conditions of satisfaction and defining Done.
• Managing the process of releasing changes, in collaboration with the development team.
• Creating a testing strategy to meet the quality level of the software with support from the Product Owner, Stream Owner, and Developers.
• Demonstrating working software to clients regularly and supporting the Product Owner to integrate feedback as agreed, in collaboration with Developers.

Skills and Experience Required:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Software Quality Analyst or equivalent role
• Recent experience as a Senior or Lead Quality Analyst preferred
• Commercial experience
• Knowledge that enables you to describe what ‘done’ looks like
• Technical troubleshooting including log file analysis and basic data analysis
• Relevant experience in designing test strategies and test plans based around acceptance criteria
• Experience working with clients to define user stories and confirming acceptance criteria
• Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
• Experience using data visualisation techniques and tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing
