Application and Systems Support Analyst

Permanent Full Time Position (40hrs)  

Based in Christchurch

Comcare is an established Mental Health and Housing provider assisting people with mental health or addiction issues to live well in the community. We provide a rich and diverse range of Mental Health Support Services, Housing and Housing Support Services. 

About the Role 

As the Application & Systems Support Analyst you will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining the suite of applications and services across our organisation. It also involves actively managing application vendors on both operational and project-based initiatives to ensure optimal outcomes.  

You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, IT colleagues, and vendors to ensure systems run smoothly and meet business needs. 

 Key Responsibilities 

• Provide day-to-day support for business applications.  

• Resolve service issues and requests. 

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality. 

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver system enhancements. 

• Assist in application upgrades, testing, and deployment. 

• Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and support procedures. 

• Liaise with vendors for issue resolution and system improvements. 

• Developing and providing training materials to staff 

• Support data integrity, reporting, and integration between systems. 

• Assist the IT Team with support tickets and projects as . 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

• A+, ITIL Certification, Microsoft 365 certificate, CASA Certified Application Support Analyst, Microsoft Power Platform or similar suitable certification.  

• At least 3 - 5 years of experience in IT support or application support roles. 

• Proven experience in application support or systems analysis. 

• Ability to create user documentation, training materials, and deliver end-user training. 

• Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and ensure timely resolution of application issues. 

• Strong communication skills—empathetic, calm under pressure, and approachable. 

• Strong systems, process and user documentation skills.  

• Familiarity with business systems (e.g.
  CRM, HRIS). 

• Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Office 365 environments, Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.


• A cultural awareness, knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. 


• A full New Zealand Drivers Licence
