Based at Macraes Mine, you will assist with the safe and efficient maintenance, repairs and servicing of all mining machinery and ancillary plant/equipment under control of the open pit maintenance workshop. Complete credits towards the National Certificate in Motor Industry (Automotive Heavy Engineering - Level 4) as per the Apprenticeship plan.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Repairs, maintenance and daily inspection of the mining fleet and other plant and equipment
• Daily servicing (refuelling and lubrication) of mining and ancillary plant when required
• Inspections of site facilities, tooling and other equipment as directed
• Replacements of machinery components
• Computer diagnostics and fault finding
• Maintaining high levels of housekeeping at all facilities, equipment and company vehicles
• Attending and repairing breakdowns of the mining fleet and ancillary plant
• Repair and rebuilding of machinery components
• Maintain the highest standards of safety, working towards company procedures
• Basic repairs to electrical systems on the mining fleet and ancillary plant

• Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
• Completion of National Certificate in Automotive Heavy Engineering - Plant and Equipment Level 3
• Basic computer literacy is essential.
