The Opportunity | Te āheinga


We have an exciting one‑year fixed‑term opportunity for an Aquatic Admin Supervisor at the Todd Energy Aquatic Centre, covering while our current team member is on secondment. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide high‑quality administrative support to keep the centre running smoothly and ensure every visitor enjoys a safe, positive and welcoming experience.


 


As the Aquatic Admin Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for coordinating the centre’s retail operations, managing facility bookings, overseeing our point‑of‑sale (POS) system and supporting staff training. This is a chance to combine your administrative strengths, customer service skills and passion for community wellbeing in a dynamic, people‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa matua



  • Provide efficient, accurate and friendly service to all customers.

  • Show leadership and provide support to the reception team.

  • Contribute to the development of customer services at the Aquatic Centre ensuring that the level of service is appropriate and always responsive to customer needs.

  • Respond to public enquiries in a fair, friendly and timely manner.

  • Participate in customer service desk duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism and a commitment to following processes.

  • Show respect and sensitivity for Tangata Whenua and all other cultures.

  • Be the first point of contact for all bookings including coordinating the water safety programme.

  • Processing of invoices and purchase orders.

  • Follow up arrears of missed payments for Direct Debits

  • Promote and market the retail area, complete day to day stock management and ordering

  • Customer service, leadership and quality control

  • Undertake and perform any other duties as required by the Aquatic Programmes Coordinator.


 


 


Essential Skills and Experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako



  • Hold a current First Aid certificate.

  • Relevant experience in a similar role.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience using Envibe software – preferred but not essential.
