We have a new opportunity for an Architectural Technician to join our Working Drawings Team to assist in delivering our builds throughout the country. The team work closely with our designers, planners and consents people to ensure a smooth and efficient process delivering completed and consented plans to our build teams. 

Based in central Christchurch, the position will be involved in a variety of draughting projects across the residential construction sector, including bespoke and volume residential housing. The successful candidate will be able be productive from the get-go, which means being able to:

• Complete architectural drafting to a high standard of accuracy and detail using ArchiCAD.
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of NZ3604 and NZ building codes.
• Contribute to project coordination and checking/RFI processes within the team.

As a minimum to be shortlisted, a candidate will require:

• A tertiary qualification in Design and/or Architecture.
• LBP1 qualification is preferable or the ability to gain LBP in time.
• At least 3+ years' draughting experience in the NZ construction environment essential.
• Expertise with ArchiCAD draughting software.
• Strong communication (written and verbal English) and self-management skills.

You should also have a high attention to detail, be keen to achieve high standards of accuracy and at ease working to deadlines. We work hard but have a strong team approach linked to a clear view of delivery.
