Architectural Technician (Junior to Intermediate)

C2 Design is a well-established Architectural Design firm, we took on our first design project in 2015 and our team keeps multiplying! We now have an opportunity for a Junior to Intermediate Architectural Designer to join us on a 7-month Maternity contract starting Mid-August.

Key responsibilities of the role

• Preparing preliminary sketches for initial client presentations
• Produce timely and detailed working drawings in line with the New Zealand Building Code
• Ensuring the designs comply with New Zealand Standards
• Production Specifications
• Liaising with clients, Engineers, Council’s and builders

About you

• 2-5 years drafting experience within the NZ building industry
• Great knowledge and use of ArchiCAD 
• Great knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and New Zealand Standards
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Great time management, especially within individual projects
• The ability to work autonomously when unsupervised
