Asbestos Removalist - Immediate Start

Waikato Demolition is part of the AP Group of Companies. 

AP Group is based in Hamilton and has over 27 years experience in construction, demolition and waste recycling.

Due to current workloads we have long term positions in the Waikato for motivated qualified Asbestos Removalists.

Previous asbestos removal experience is preferred, but if you are new to the industry and have all your qualifications, are keen to learn and prove yourself, then please apply.

POSITION PURPOSE

Carry out construction/decontamination/deconstruction of asbestos enclosures. Removal and disposal of both friable and non-friable asbestos containing materials in both residential and commercial structures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/CLEARANCES:

• Class A & B Asbestos removal Certificates
• In date Face fits 
• In date asbestos medical 

About You:

• Good English communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Good level of physical fitness - this is physical work involving repetitive, heavy lifting
• Be Health and Safety conscious and be able to follow instructions to the letter
• Have a great work ethic
• Be a team player and work well with others
• Good time keeping and management
• Full clean drivers licence with own transport
• Clean shaven (requirement for asbestos masks)

We offer an hourly rate of between $26.00 to $32.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.  We also offer investment in further training and development to become a Supervisor.

We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week. Company hours of work are generally between 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday but can vary depending on workload.  Some flexibility is required - at times there will be an early start or late finish.
