Horizon Networks, based in Whakatane is recruiting for a self-motivated individual to fill the Asset and Delivery Engineer position on a full-time and permanent basis in our Auckland branch. Reporting to the Asset and Delivery Manager, the Asset and Delivery engineer will be responsible for: Provide Subject Matter Expert advice to the business relating to electricity distribution network assetsThe development, maintenance, and enhancement of asset risk models for Network assets. Establish appropriate intervention criteria that balance risk and cost in short, medium, and long termsEstablish engineering requirements for managing asset life cycle activities, monitor and evaluate outputs from asset maintenance and replacement activities, and develop appropriate actions that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of managing Network assetsEstablish robust plans and budget for both maintenance (preventative, corrective, and including vegetation) and replacement and renewal programmes, develop sound justifications and handover documentations, provide an oversight of the delivery of the work from end to end and take actions to address any issuesSupport the management of defects to ensure adequate prioritisation balancing risk and cost are achieved and defects are addressed within the required timeframe. Review defects, perform trend analysis, and provide insights for improvement asset management practices and efficiencyConduct asset failure investigations to understand the root causes, develop actions and proactively monitor the completion of the actionsDevelop and carry out reviews on technical standards, SOPs, policies, frameworks, strategies and specifications and provide technical advice to the business. Develop new technical standards as requiredProvide inputs to the annual budget planning process and long-term plan. Provide inputs and assist with Asset Management Plan, relevant disclosure documentation, and any other reporting when requiredSupport the business with obtaining new accreditations and retaining current accreditations including but not limited to ISO55001, ISO45001, NZS7901, and ISO9001 To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience: University Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentPost graduate business, engineering or project management qualification highly regardedCurrent Unrestricted NZ Drivers Licence3+ years experience in the distribution or transmission industry is preferred The Horizon Energy Group takes pride on its commitment to the health and safety of all its stakeholders and bases all its activities on safety leadership, risk management and worker participation as premise.
