Role
As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with month-end accounts, tax compliance, and bookkeeping tasks. You will work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate financial records and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements for management and statutory purposes.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain an accurate fixed assets register.
• Ensure correct coding of all expense and revenue lines.
• Prepare accurate company journal entries and credit card reconciliations.
• Reconcile daily sales banking and report discrepancies.
• Handle voucher invoicing and send accurate sales data to landlords.
• Respond to financial inquiries and gather/interpret data as needed.
• Perform any ad-hoc activities as requested.
• Comply with health and safety policies and procedures.

Experience

• Experience in a similar position.
• Technically proficient with Excel skills.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Previous experience in food service, FMCG or retail is preferred but not required.
