Our Client
Carter Group is a leading multi-generational family investment company with significant property and other investments in New Zealand and Australia. The Carter Group has a large portfolio of investments across a variety of groups including the commercial, industrial, subdivisions, retail, hotel sectors and private equity. They also own a significant land holding at IPORT, a large inland industrial park in Rolleston, near Christchurch, earmarked for commercial buildings development.
  
Reporting to the Head of Finance and located in Christchurch, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of accounting tasks and play a crucial role in daily bank reconciliations, invoice processing and supporting the Finance Team with various accounting tasks. In addition, you will support tax compliance work, month and year end procedures, as well as additional duties as needed, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting and administrative tasks.
  
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will have experience within an accounting firm or inhouse accounting team. You will also be confident with accounting software with Netsuite being advantageous, and proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting. You will have strong accuracy in data entry and financial calculations, while demonstrating excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
