Sense of humour essential, along with empathy, passion & commitment. That's all.Experienced Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager  with recent Aged care experience, who has the ability to lead a  large team  that will ensure only the best care is administered at all times to the residents and their families.As part of the Clinical team, you will work closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager caring for the residents in our 66 bed care facility.Skills and Experience:Have previous experience working with the elderly at a management level and a have a high level of clinical, communication and interpersonal skills.Have NZ recognised RN qualification with a current APC with the NZ Nursing Council.Be able to provide supervision and support to nursing staff and health care assistants including performance appraisals.Have empathy and commitment to excellence in the care of the elderly and a passion for working with the elderly.Responsibilities:Coordination, education, training and supervision of nursing staff.Cover the Clinical Nurse Manager during annual leaveDevelop staff rosters to meet the acuity of residents in each service area.Infection ControlInterRAI assessmentManage incidents/accidents and evaluate investigationsWorking closely and building relationships with multidisciplinary teams (eg GPs, pharmacy, hospitals etc); family/resident meetings; admissionsPlease note: There may be a requirement to cover 'On Call' (paid) duties at certain times.We are a long established charitable organisation aiming to enable the best possible life for those in our village and community.
